When I grow up, I want to be...

Here's my other passion. Music. This is a Yamaha RBX270 Bass Guitar. It was decently priced, great build, fun to play, and has very few drawbacks [it buzzes...]. I finally have posted it despite this being a 40k blog, I wanted to just show what else I do besides my addicting hobby. ; D



Music-wise, I listen to Rock, some metal, a lot of Rap/R&B, and alternative. Here is the song I'm currently trying to learn: John the Fisherman

Eldar Choices...

I've talked about the numerous choices in the 4th edition Eldar Codex and how they have some decent and not so decent ones.... I stole this photo from a friend of mine, but it deserves to be spread out. : D

New Year

Welcome, one and all, to the marvoulous world of tomorrow, the year 2008!
Things of note:
1) I will get my Tyranid army up and swarming. I have the materials, but guitar hero won't let me have time to paint. ; D
2) College. In the fall of this year, I'll be leaving my home state to go to Wake Forest University. Hopefully, I'll find some people who also play 40k and we can recreate a Bell of Lost Souls type blog. Maybe it will work, maybe not.
3) More random musings. I really need to post more to say that I'm alive for the readers out there.

I'm alive!

So yeah. No posts in a long time....But all that is ok. Here's a run down of my life:

First off, the most popular item on my list.
Marching Band: This was my last year marching in my school's Marching Band. It truly has been a very rewarding experience these past 4 years. In case you, reader, don't know, I [was] the drill leader for the low reed section. I had to march 4 shows over 4 years, marching and playing my Baritone Saxophone. That's quite a feat. This past marching season, all the seniors rejoiced as we took Grand Champions at the Duncanville Marching Festival. Ah well, Wake will be happy as I join them next year.

Third
Senior year. Many have taken this as a slack off year to relax before college and the real world. Many of my friends [myself included] have not. Instead, we have a shitload of hard classes, many of them college level. That [kinda] helps with the whole "no posting in a while" idea.

Fourth
Family and friends. I need time with people I probably won't see very much of next year. It's a bit sad, but we all have to leave the nest, so to speak. I'll miss all of you that I know reading this right now. I'll be back around Christmas time and maybe Thanksgiving. Speaking of,

Sixth
GUITAR HERO III. I bought this game the day it came out and beat expert mode about three days later. : D I'm still working on some songs, especially Through the Fire and Flames. Of course, I'm still learning how to play my actual Bass Guitar. So, pretty busy in the music department.

So that's what I just ordered online. I wanted the "Gamers-Edition Apocalypse" with full backpack and other goodies but that's not online as of now/is sold out/might be at the release parties at D.Lair and Thor'sH. later this month.
Basically, I have a decent sized tyranid army for fun/competitive play. It will round out my army with troops and heavy support/elite. I'm really looking forward to this. Maugan Ra will be used as my HQ for my Eldar for a while, seeing as how beastly he is nowadays.
