I was sitting outside today, on this beautiful day, reading The Book of Daniel for my English 175 class. I was sitting underneath a tall and old tree on the field that we practice on for marching band (Davis field).
As I sat, I took note of my surroundings. The swaying swing hung from the tree, the earthen patch of ground I rested on, the ants scurrying around and on my legs, the dead tiger butterfly next to me, and the breeze flowing through the living giant behind me. It was a poignant moment for me, as I realized what life and God had given to me.
I felt...blessed.
